The SBIR Road Tour is heading to Ames, Iowa!

The SBIR Road Tour is a national outreach effort to convey the technology funding opportunity provided through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Federal and State Program Managers representing the $2.5 billion in early stage funding will meet with technology entrepreneurs and innovation supporters in Iowa. You will have the opportunity to hear a brief talk by a manager from each of the following programs:

—USDA

—Air Force

—Navy

—Department of Energy (DOE)

—National Institutes of Health (NIH)

—National Science Foundation (NSF)

—NASA

—Others (to be announced)

PLUS, you can attend at least one  1:1 session with a manager of the program of your choice (space limited, register early). Many attendees at last year’s Iowa conference were able to meet with as many as three program managers.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to prepare for your 1:1 session in a full-day workshop setting either in Iowa City on Monday, August 15 or in Ames on Tuesday, August 16. THIS PRE-CONFERENCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you wish to get the most out of your 15-minute session with a program manager on Wednesday. Agendas for all three days can be found here.
