Sheri Benson joined Iowa State University’s SBDC and Brianna Hall joined America’s SBDC Iowa.

AMES, Iowa – America’s SBDC Iowa (SBDC) is pleased to announce Brianna Hall as the new Marketing Manager and Sheri Benson has joined Iowa State University’s SBDC as their new Business Counselor. They both started their positions on Monday, June 15.

In the new position of Marketing Manager, Brianna will lead the SBDC’s marketing efforts to expand awareness, increase social media presence, and create content for all marketing purposes, both online and print.

Brianna Hall joins the team with a degree in Advertising and over 7 years of design and marketing experience. Her previous role was the Marketing Manager for the Iowa State Center where she was in charge of marketing their Performing Arts Series. She is also involved in her community by sitting on the Main Street Nevada Board and chairing the Promotions Committee.

Sheri Benson

Sheri Benson, in her new role as a Business Counselor, will be helping businesses begin, create new jobs, and prepare to grow.

Prior to joining ISU’s SBDC, Sheri Benson enjoyed a dynamic career in insurance and financial services through helping sales professionals build vibrant businesses. Most recently, Sheri has been engaged in small consulting projects and volunteering on public education boards. Sheri is a strong advocate for small business and the value they add to their local communities.

“America’s SBDC Iowa is excited to announce two new additions to our team,” says State Director Lisa Shimkat. “Both bring experience of working with small businesses and we’re excited to expand our services and marketing efforts.”
