The EDIR team coordinates with America’s Cultivation Corridor to offer the Cultivo Global Ag Innovation Program for startup companies and entrepreneurs.
The groundbreaking program provides opportunities for international startups to learn from and connect with Iowa’s agricultural research and business leadership during a 10-day immersion cohort in the state’s ag startup ecosystem. Sessions are held remotely and different members of the bioscience startup ecosystem participate in sessions. Cultivo participants often will choose to visit the region following their programming and have a leg up on connections and programming prior to arrival. Additionally, Cultivo graduates can take advantages of incentives by economic development partners to make scaling their North American business seamless.
