SoyLei is Driving Innovation and Sustainability

SoyLei’s origins trace back to research conducted at Iowa State University, where Hernandez and his team explored the potential of soybean oil as a renewable additive for asphalt. Initially driven by a shortage of traditional asphalt polymers, the team saw an opportunity to develop a cost-effective, sustainable alternative using soy-based materials.

Advancing AgTech While Remaining True to Iowa Roots

As Sukup Manufacturing looks toward the future, its commitment to Iowa, innovation, and agriculture remains unchanged. By leveraging ISU’s expertise, building a strong local workforce, and embracing cutting-edge technology, Sukup is solidifying its legacy—not just in Iowa, but on farms across the globe.

Engineering Tomorrow

At a time when many companies are struggling to find skilled labor, Metalcraft is investing in its future workforce one intern at a time. Through its growing internship program—now bolstered by a physical presence at the ISU Research Park—the company is deepening its relationship with Iowa State University and creating meaningful experiences for emerging engineers.

Preparing the Next Generation of AgTech Leaders
