KEY PROGRAM DATES

In addition to offering industry exposure and entrepreneurial training for participating teams, the ISU I-Corps Site will provide advice, resources, networking opportunities, and infrastructure for exploring commercialization opportunities. I-Corps will work with existing entrepreneurial endeavors at Iowa State, including the infrastructure and resources at Economic Development and Industry Relations, such as the ISU Startup Factory.

Teams that are accepted into the program and participate in all sessions are eligible to receive a microgrant of up to $3,000 to support customer discovery efforts.

KEY PROGRAM DATES: FALL SEMESTER 2018

  • Informational sessions: Aug. 27, 2018 (for the colleges of Engineering, Agriculture and Life Sciences, and Liberal Arts and Sciences), and Aug. 29, 2018 (for the colleges of Business, Design, Human Sciences, Veterinary Medicine and the Graduate College)
  • Applications open: June 1-Sept. 7, 2018
  • Review panels: Sept. 10-14, 2018 (exact dates TBD)
  • Notification of acceptance: Sept. 17, 2018
  • Sessions begin: Sept. 26, 2018
  • Additional sessions: Oct. 3, 17 and 24 (no session Oct. 10). Attendance by the Entrepreneurial Lead and Academic Lead is required at all sessions to be eligible to receive a microgrant. No exceptions will be made for this requirement.
  • Cultural competency training: TBD
