Business Counselor for Iowa State University SBDC Becomes CBGP®

Sheri Benson, Business Counselor for Iowa State University SBDC

AMES, Iowa – America’s SBDC Iowa (SBDC) is pleased to announce that Sheri Benson, Business Counselor for Iowa State University SBDC, Ames, has achieved certification in the Certified Global Business Professional® (CGBP) program.

The CGBP® program, developed by NASBITE International, confirms knowledge in international trade. The designation shows employers and the public that the individual is proficient in global business and capable of working with the level of expertise and professionalism that is required in today’s competitive environment.

Prior to joining ISU’s SBDC, Sheri Benson enjoyed a dynamic career in insurance and financial services through helping sales professionals build vibrant businesses. Most recently, Sheri has been engaged in small consulting projects and volunteering on public education boards. Sheri is a strong advocate for small business and the value they add to their local communities.
